His mission is to destigmaitse the portrayal of those with mental health problems, and championed cameras being allowed inside the locked wards of Liverpool and Campbelltown. Hospitals. That became  two series of Changing Minds (Northern Pictures for the ABC) which was nominated for many awards and described by The Sydney Morning Herald as  ‘Surely one of the most important programs in the history of Australian television.’
